Missions Through First Baptist

First Baptist Church is a missional congregation!  In addition to supporting global and local missions through the annual Ministry Plan, FBC supports missions through the global Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the South Carolina Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.  Please click the link below to find out more about mission opportunites through these two organizations.

Global

First Baptist Church is committed to global missions that extend Christ’s love and presence around the world, connecting us to a broader global community. Our primary partner in this work is the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Global, and through our annual Ministry Plan, we help support their mission efforts in places we cannot physically go. We also contribute to the CBF Global Missions Offering, further investing in the work of field personnel across the globe. Global Missions

First Baptist Church believes in missions that enable ministry around the world through a global community. Janee Angel

Janée Angel is a Cooperative Baptist Fellowship field personnel living and serving in Antwerp, Belgium, working particularly among the Arabic speaking community, which is ever growing in the midst of the world refugee crisis.

Baptist Women in Ministry

Baptist Women in Ministry (BWIM) is a national organization that advocates for, supports, and offers resources to Baptist women serving in ministry. As a part of their work in supporting and offering resources to ministers, BWIM offers mentoring programs, resources for ordination and installation, scholarships, peer learning groups, state and regional groups, and book studies. BWIM leads the way in advocation for women in ministry. A part of their advocacy work includes documentaries, a Month of Advocacy, and offers avenues for advocacy as needs and issues arise. First Baptist participates each year in the Baptist Women in Ministry Month of Preaching and Advocacy, which happens in March. State

First Baptist Church also partners with mission organizations across South Carolina. Our primary statewide partner is the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of South Carolina, and through our annual Ministry Plan, we support their broader mission as well as specific state-based initiatives. In addition, we directly support several other impactful organizations doing vital work throughout our state. State Missions

Metanoia is an asset based community development organization seeking to provide programs and develop projects that are rooted in faith in God and one another that promote and support the historically Black neighborhoods of North Charleston, SC.

Allendale Ministry
