Our Mission Statement
Seeking His Heart . . . Being His Hands
Living, Loving, and Serving in the Name of Christ.
Our Vision Statement
We live out our mission by:
having a personal relationship with Jesus;
witnessing for Jesus through our actions and our words;
striving to be the hands of Jesus in the Greenwood community and beyond;
living for Jesus each day, loving other people, and serving those around us;
practicing stewardship of our financial resources, our time, and our talents;
participating in the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship;
doing all we do in the name of Jesus.
Our Logo
The symbols of the logo reinforce the vision of the mission statement. The heart represents the heart of Jesus, toward which we all strive as Christians. The heart also symbolizes our love for God and for others, because God first loved us. The two hands represent the hands of Jesus, whose mission on earth is furthered through the work and service of our hands. Each hand is uniquely colored, signifying the diversity of individuals working together in the body of Christ. The hands also form doves, representing the Spirit of God at work through the church. The logo is tilted upward and outward, symbolizing the movement of our faith toward God and into the world in service. The colors of the logo derive from the liturgical colors, which represent the importance of corporate worship for our congregation and signify our common identity within God’s larger Church in the world.
