Chokhmah (Wisdom) Men’s Group

 Chokhmah (חָכְמָה) is the Hebrew word for wisdom. The purpose of the group is to provide an opportunity for adult men of all ages to engage in events and activities outside of regular worship. The focus of the group is Bible Study/Devotion, Fellowship, and giving back to the church family.

The Chokhmah Men’s Group meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from August-November and January- May. The group meets for a devotional breakfast at Howard’s on Main from 7:00 am to 8:00 am. 

The group meets quarterly for “Grounds and Building Work Parties.” This gathering is on Saturday mornings from 10:00 am to noon. Dates for the gatherings are printed in the church bulletin.

The group also plans Youth Mentorship Days on specific Sundays in the Fall and Spring. The Youth Mentorship Days focus on teaching Life Skills to youth. These skills include changing a tire, checking oil, proper handshake, writing a resume, and balancing a checkbook. 

Finally, the group plans opportunities for social gatherings that include faith, fellowship, and fishing.
