Called Business Meeting

Upcoming Called Business Meeting scheduled for 10:50 am on Sunday morning, November 9, 2025, for the purpose of voting on a slate of deacons. Please feel free to contact the church office if you have any questions.

After much prayer and discernment, the Nominations and Lay Leadership Committee would like to inform the congregation that the following individuals have agreed to place their name on a ballot to serve a three year term (2026-2028) in the sacred call of a deacon at First Baptist Church.

2) Ben Hammett

3) Trey Jenkins

4) Judi Neufeld

5) Ellison Rowe

6) Andrew Waldron

The Nominations and Lay Leadership Committee would also like to inform the congregation that Mike Burton has agreed to fill the one year unexpired term of Tom Gordon.

Therefore, a Called Business Meeting is scheduled for 10:50 am on Sunday morning, November 9, 2025 for the purpose of voting on a slate of deacons as listed above. During the Called Business Meeting, the congregation will receive ballots on which they will indicate whether they approve or disapprove the entire slate of nominees presented by the committee.

Absentee voting may be done through the church office or by emailing the Minister of Administration (djennings@fbcgwd.org) beginning Friday, October 31, one week before Selection Sunday (November 9). Absentee voting will conclude at noon on  Friday, November 7, before selection Sunday (November 9).
