Sunday Morning Bible Study
10am-10:50am
First Baptist Church is dedicated to the spiritual growth of individuals and families. In addition to the work of the Spiritual Formation Committee, FBC provides an excellent Sunday morning Bible study program. Each Sunday, guests and members gather for a time of corporate Bible study and fellowship. FBC offers a variety of study opportunities for preschool children through adult age groups.
The following is a brief description of each age group and their meeting location. For additional questions concerning FBC’s Bible study program, please contact the church office.
Children
Anna Burch, Minister to Children, works hard to provide a safe, inviting, and loving environment for preschoolers and children. Dedicated volunteers strive each week to share the love of Christ with every child. Because consistency is important for a preschooler’s development, a consistent group of teachers greets them with eager enthusiasm each Sunday. Pagers are used with newborn children and preschoolers in case parents are needed. In addition to Sunday morning Bible study, Anna and the Children’s Ministry Committee provide a variety of children’s activities.

Youth
Joey Fuson, Associate Pastor and Minister to Youth, works directly with a group of dedicated volunteers who teach the youth each Sunday. The rotation of teachers provides a variety of teaching styles and a way in which the youth can relate to adults within the larger context of the church. Sunday morning Bible study is for youth in grades 6-12. In addition to Sunday morning Bible study, the Associate Pastor and the Youth Committee strive to promote a variety of youth activities such as retreats, missions, and recreational events.

Adults
Each class is well organized with officers and weekly teachers. Many of the adult classes use the FORMATIONS curriculum from Smyth & Helwys publishers. Other classes may occasionally conduct book studies using popular books that are of special interest to the class. In addition to Sunday morning Bible study, the Spiritual Formation Committee seeks alternative opportunities for adult spiritual growth.
