The FBC prayer shawl group knits shawls that are given to persons or families with sickness, grief, or some other specific need. When the shawl is completed, members of the group and members of the FBC ministry team bless the shawl and pray for its recipients. Their hope is that the warmth of the shawl will be a tangible reminder that each recipient is wrapped in the love of God.
Shawls … have been made for centuries and are … symbolic of an inclusive, unconditionally loving God. They wrap, enfold, comfort … and beautify. Those who have received these shawls have been uplifted and affirmed …
